Muscular, loud and uncompromising, for over a quarter of a century, the Dodge Viper was the embodiment of a new kind of American supercar, joining the likes of the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Corvette C6/C7 as a classic of its generation. It has been the prime showcase for the capabilities of a series of bespoke V10 engines with power outputs ranging from a ‘modest’ 400bhp, to an outrageous 645bhp.
